Meet our Teachers
Lisa Goddard
Lisa Goddard is a mixed media artist and tutor living on the edge of the Peak District National Park in the UK. She is passionate about art journaling and bookmaking.
Lisa started art journaling and journal making around twenty years ago. She had just completed a fine art degree and was feeling a bit lost and directionless when she stumbled across it. Art journaling became a space for her to express herself, process her emotions, experiment, and play. For Lisa, it is now an essential part of her life — a place to create stories and tell her own.
She works predominantly with mixed media. She loves the freedom of not being restricted in what she uses, and there are always new exciting combinations to discover. Lisa loves to combine collage, texture, fabric, and paper with splashes of colour on her pages and often uses vintage images and found text. She is also inspired by nature and enjoys using natural materials to create textures, colours, and marks in her work.

In this one-day workshop, Lisa will guide us in creating unique little scrolls using a wonderful variety of found materials. Combining paper, fabric, colour, stitching, and vintage fragments, Lisa will demonstrate how to layer textures and details to create scrolls that are rich in character and meaning.
